
Role of the Counselor
The role of the middle school counselor is to foster student independence and responsibility and to assist the student in taking an active role in his/her learning. The counselor also facilitates communication between school, home, and student to promote self-advocacy, self-monitoring, and academic success
Middle school counselors implement the counseling program by providing:
